Electricity for lighting and cooling dropped by a quarter in the first three months.
Meeting rooms were the biggest waste: lights and air conditioning ran all day whether the room was used or not. Occupancy sensors now switch both off ten minutes after the last person leaves, and the open-plan lighting dims with daylight.
Access and reporting
Staff and cleaners enter with time-limited codes; every entry is logged. The facility manager sees energy per zone on a dashboard and receives a monthly report.
